Gachsaran Oil and Gas Faculty officially started working as one of Yasuj University's sub-faculties in 2013 and currently it is working in three fields of polymer engineering, applied chemistry and welding mechanics.

The infrastructure of Gachsaran Oil and Gas College is over 5000 square meters, which includes two administrative and educational departments. About 2 hectares of landscaping including sidewalks, parking, stairs, pause space, etc. have been constructed around the college. About 1 hectare of green space around the college has been considered in order to beautify the environment and also to pay attention to environmental concerns, which will expand further in the near future. About 75 hectares of land is also in the possession of Gachsaran Oil and Gas Faculty, which is considered for the expansion of the faculty in the near future.
